Kathmandu: Food, Drink and Shopping Rickshaw Tour

3.Food, Drink and Shopping Rickshaw Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.7 · 7 reviews · 3 hours · from $28

Join Deepak or another multilingual local guide for three hours of Kathmandu street food, market shopping and rickshaw travel. Expect momos, thukpa, sel roti, panipuri, tea and sugarcane juice, plus advice on Pashmina, masks and Thangka paintings. The shopping portion may be arranged separately.

“The foodie walking tour weaves through lively alleys around Thamel, stopping off for various treats like steaming momos, spicy samosas, fresh cane juice and the delicate Panipuri. Deepak was knowledgeable and friendly, sharing the rich history of typical Nepalese cuisine. Come hungry, wear comfortable shoes. As a title though, it is a bit confusing as it is not ‘all’ part of the tour, though it can be arranged. Deepak showed some shops separate to the rest of the group who left after we finished the food. Come with an idea of what you want to buy.”
